New items in the collections

From carefully traced design to the finished roll of wallpaper.

The period of creation of one design is several months.

Specialists: designers, artists, engravers, engineers, ....

Designers of the Sintra factory:

  • attend specialized international exhibitions,
  • track the latest trends in interior design,
  • analyze the products of competitors,
  • purchase sketches for later development.

    • The concept of the new collection is approved by the art council of the factory.
    • Approved sketch is to be developed.
    • The designer creates a prototype for the final design.

The production process of foamed vinyl and hot stamping wallpaper is different both in production and in technical development.

Design with a technical assignment is transferred to the development of an engraver.

The technical task takes into account the technology of execution and is a set of the following parameters:

      • grams for the hot stamping shaft,
      • depth of embossing (for example, the presence of a plinth),
      • the expected layout of the design by colors,
      • use in production of gravure rolls to create soft color transitions,
      • compositional drawing solution,
      • Desired invoices.

The result is "layout" (the general composition of the picture or the arrangement of the elements).

In parallel with the manufacture of plates of texture for the hot stamping shaft, the separation process is carried out.

Separation is a design layout for layers, one design color corresponds to one layer and sections on the production line (one color - one layer - one section at production).

The result of the designer's collaboration with the engraver is the films for making flat patterns and the approved embossing plates for which the shafts are ordered.

At the moment, engravers offer a new sample of embossing - 3D print, which, according to all properties, corresponds to the embossing plate, but allows to make changes in the embossing structure with minimal losses.

With the help of special software, the designer selects colors (CAD color solutions), which are subsequently printed and coordinated at the factory's art council or with the client.

Design studio, taking into account the wishes of the designer, performs the hand-knives in different versions: using various pastes, effects and technologies, with the aim of the most effective implementation of the design.

Once the interpretation and colors have been approved by the artistic board or client, the designer begins work on the handles.

Hand-made in the design studio using flat patterns, which are shown in a drawing on the previously developed engraver films. Then sequentially on special machines the printer extends the design in the corresponding approved CAD color.

The handgrips are approved by the art council or client and are the absolute prototype of what is produced on the production line, except for the handles for designs with hot embossing. Being flat in the hand, these designs get the texture directly in production.

Approved for production handles come to the laboratory, where a recipe of used pastes is created.

If the design is performed in the hot stamping technique, before rolling out all the colors and ordering templates, the shaft is rolled on the line, during which the shaft is checked for defects, the exact design and weight of the roll are revealed.

If there is a ready-made shaft, approved hand tools, recipes for pastes and ordered patterns, the design is ready for production.

Wallpapers at the factory "Sintra" are produced by rotary printing. In the production of nonwoven and paper pass several sections. On each of them the color is applied, according to the principle "one color - one section".

If we are talking about a design that implies the use of hot stamping technique, then after the drying chambers the design goes through the last section - the stamping section by the shaft.

For entering the register on modern machines, the computer that monitors the passage of wallpaper along the line is responsible and automatically notifies about it if it is displaced.

On the line, the designer is responsible for controlling the conformity of the product to desired textures and color and, if necessary, corrects.

If the wallpaper matches the designer's vision and the requirements of the technologist, the first batch of wall coverings begins.
